Welcome to Tea’d! We provide an online dating and community platform for adults. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) set forth a binding agreement between you and Tea’d Dating Ltd. (“Tea’d,” “we,” “our”). These Terms govern your access to and use of our mobile application, Tea’d Dating (the “App”), our website at theteadapp.com (the “Site”), and all related widgets, tools, data, software, and other services we provide (collectively, the “Services” or “Platform”).

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: These Terms affect your legal rights, including limiting Tea’d’s liability and requiring resolution of disputes on an individual (non-class) basis. See Sections 14–16.

By using the App, Site, or Services, you agree that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have read and understood these Terms.
  • You consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform or Services.

1. Changes to Terms of Use

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will update the “Effective Date” above and post the revised Terms on this page. Continued use of Tea’d after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.

2. Your Tea’d Account

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Not impersonate others, use offensive usernames, or violate any third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

3. Subscription Services

Some features of Tea’d may be offered as paid subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your app store settings.
  • Fees are billed by the app store, not by Tea’d directly.
  • All purchases are final.

Instructions to cancel:

  • Apple App Store: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Manage Tea’d subscription.
  • Google Play Store: Google Play > Account > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage Tea’d subscription.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Tea’d for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
  • Harass, stalk, or threaten other users.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful content.
  • Use bots, scraping tools, or automation.
  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
  • Use Tea’d if you are under 18.

5. Intellectual Property

All content and features of Tea’d (logos, software, design, etc.) belong to Tea’d Dating Ltd. or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or use them without permission.

6. Account Deletion & Termination

You may delete your account anytime in the App settings or by contacting accounthelp@teadapp.com.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in your app store account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. User Content & Community Guidelines

You are responsible for any content you post. By posting, you grant Tea’d a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content.

Do not post personal sensitive details, nudity, obscene, violent, or discriminatory content.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

8. Use of AI Tools

We may use AI technologies (e.g., to detect harmful content or improve services). By using Tea’d, you consent to your content being processed for these purposes.

9. Privacy

Your personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

10. External Services

Tea’d may link to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Disclaimers

Tea’d is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or specific results.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tea’d Dating Ltd. and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the Services.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya (or the country of incorporation of Tea’d Dating Ltd., if different). Disputes will be resolved on an individual basis through binding arbitration or local courts, depending on applicable law.
